Blue Pizza #5 - Himalayan Adventure Guide Becky Harrison

Becky Harrison is one of the most experienced American women guiding in the Himalayas today. She recently retraced the 1954 all women's expedition to the remote Jugal Himal on the Nepal/Tibet border. Find out why Sherpas aren’t keen on old cigars but will throw aside a can of spam for some Yak Jerky. Hear how her knowledge of both the land and culture enabled her to escape from Kathmandu in the height of the 2006 Nepal Insurgency. Learn how not to trap a wild boar. And next time you’re in Nepal don’t miss the annual Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon, a local mountain bike race with international appeal.

Mondays #60 - Talking Heads, Electric Butts

Talking Heads, Electric Butts
Karen explains her abscense last week, and it's the hottest story of the year. Carl finds out how to deal with Zombies. Mark finds the most accident-proned human being on Earth. Richard calmly takes it all in and distills it into some toys. Carl re-lives the ones and zeros with Roy Ogborn, and we have a live audience.

Thom Robbins to be new Director of .NET Platform Marketing!
Thom Robbins is leaving New England to be the new Director of .NET Platform Marketing in Redmond
http://blogs.msdn.com/trobbins/archive/2006/08/17/704858.aspx
This is big news to me. Here in New England, I thought nobody could fill Russ Fustino’s shoes. Russ is the most enthusiastic and helpful Microsoft evangelist-type I’ve ever met. Then I met Thom. Thom is a quiet fire storm. Even though he’s not in the limelight he knows how to do community. He gives his RDs every opportunity to do what they do best. The whole Code Camp idea came from Thom. His absolute confidence in Microsoft technology to rise to the top shows when you see him letting Java guys into Code Camps. He’s not about bashing the competition, he’s about making the .NET community shine. He has amazing talent…. but somehow Russ looks more comfortable in a Hawaiian shirt.
